The thing that really made this game great (at the time) in my opinion was that it was in many ways a reconsideration of what made all the other games in the series up to that point really good, but reworked around a newer engine and learnings from the 15 years prior. So, the fighting works good, the minigames are fun, the story is dramatic and the game looks great considering the ps4 target. Certainly one of the best in the franchise and an excellent starting point if you are new to the series
a flawed but great game... I think many would agree that the main quest is fairly weak in this game, but the overall worldbuilding and sense of scale on display here really aren't attempted by too many other titles. Much less many that come together as well as this
