Look, I grew up on this thing. I lvoed it, and it really fed that "all my friends are Classics majors" side. What I think, looking back on this little gem, is that it didn't necessarily age all that well. That said, it is hella fun, and if you like micro manage-y trade-y resource and infrastructure type city sims, this is a Don't Miss It kind of title.
Not the absolute best in the DnD based games, but I couldn't love the soundtrack and the writing more! The graphics don't hold up AT ALL, but since when was a tabletop lover concerned about computer graphics....? Halfway decent engine to run some loose DnD based combat, very HILARIOUS dialog options in many places, especially based on character builds (try lowering INT juuuust a bit, see what happens...)!! I can't say that this is the best one in the franchise, but it certainl is one that everyone who likes the franchise should play!
