After 10 hours of playing and therefore completing the story, i felt like typing out my thoughts: All in all, it's a nice little game with an artstyle that gripped me the moment i laid eyes on it. Style-wise it is beauty to behold. The music fits the ambience and story as well. The gameplay felt like it wanted so much more than what it essentially was. All these spells that you are able to use, all the special weapons at your disposal- in the end, only a handful of them were really worth using, in my opinion. The battles- after a while i felt like i was only put into different scnearios of enemies put together. Especially the mages were a huge pain with their shooting and healing. The fighting in the overworld felt a bit repetitive after some time but that was ok, at least for me because the parrying made it worthwhile. The boss battles were fun- the idea of the second to last boss was a nice one. The only thing annoying me is that i gave the eyes to the first NPC that asked for it, thereby denying me the achievement and additional interactions with the second NPC. Nonetheless, after a long drought of not having any fun playing new games, i was actively waiting to come home from work to continue this game. If it were possible, i would be rating the game 3,5 stars.
