Into the Breach

the review title isn't optional

Super good game, does a good job with all of the enemies and environmental hazards we have to think about.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance

This game has soul

Yes, despite semi-regular crashes I'm still giving it 5 starts. You really need to install a 'savior-shnapps' mod (which allows you to freely save), though, as the crashing makes regular saving a must. I'm usually good for 2-4 hours, but still.... As for the game itself, I would say that from an RPG perspective this is honestly better than even Witcher 3. This is the first game I can remember where the story/character progression felt organic. The hooks were a little surprising but also not; things are *ordinary* in the way they must be in order to seem realistic. Combat can be very frustrating and that is a *good* thing. You have to learn, plan, know when to run away, train, etc. This is an area where I wish I didn't need the ability to save, however, so I would have been forced to work harder on combat. All in all it is a game that left me truly satisfied after playing it for many, many hour and finally beating it. I was sorry to be done with it, but felt like it was a well paced, proper length game. To continue the Witcher 3 comparison, I think it's significantly shorter if you include all the side missions, but in Deliverance I really wanted to do all of the side missions where in Witcher I really didn't after a while.
