Unique and truly well executed mix of first person shooter and RTS. Highly playable, with excellent graphics, cool and fun story campaign. I honestly don't understand the low rating here, I loved the game, it is still highly playabe, the graphics, while dated, are still good looking, the concept is super original and very well executedl. I played through the whole campaing and had a lot of fun with it.

I got to admit I wasnt able to play this game ever before. I got it when it was new but it was to psychically demanding for me to play. The tension just wasnt bearable, so I eventually uninstalled it and never got it again. This never happened to me in a game before nor after, Im a horror lover and I overall enjoy being scared, but SS2 was way too much for me back then (I was like 15 when it came out), I was holding my breath for like 30 minutes and then I had to quit for another 30 minutes to get some relief. Fast forward 2013 - I saw it on GoG for 10 bucks. Got some money to spare I decided to give it a go and a few minutes later I was already watching the intro once again after all these years. That was three days ago and I wasnt able to work since then. Im totally hooked to this game, loving every inch of it. It is just as scary and psychically demanding as ever before but it has opposite effect on me, it doesnt let me think about anything else. Im even loving the graphics, it havent aged a tiny bit in my opinion. More polygon count and all those modern graphics tricks would actually make the game worse, it is perfect as it is. Best spent ten bucks ever!

Singleplayer campaign makes for a decent, but not great action game (essentially Diablo minus loot and experience, but with clever level design). But if you have some mates to play this game with, you are going to have tons of fun, because NOX multiplayer is pure fast action awesomness. Overall this game is definitely worth trying.
