Used to be 5/5 with great mechanics and interesting story, but I need another launcher like a pineapple in my ass. There is no obvious way to disable the obnoxious launcher and it can only be disabled by lanching the game with --skip-launcher parameter, however it still opens in the background. Really low Larian.

This game is a major garbage fest. I've been a fan of all Warhammer related content for almost 20 years including the 40k one. This failure is plagued with many horrible design choices which stem from it trying to replicate tabletop accurately. 1. Forced Ironman mode. The saves are encrypted and hidden so the "developers" literally spend time to ensure you can't play the mess differently than they want you to. 2. Quirky RNG. Yes, you could argue that for a 5d20 outcome {1,1,1,1,1} is equally probable as {3,13,20,18,10}, but when you consecutively see your figures roll failures and the ai rolling what looks like 5d10 with +10advantage to each roll, something is wrong. The usual answer is "get with it" is even more insulting. 3. Enemy warband is ALWAYS mirror image of your party. Bringing one ogre rat? Expect and ogre in the opponent force. Always! 4. Enemies scale to you so there is literally now way to pick easy encounters to scrape by and get back on your feet after defeat. Or picking your fights wisely.

Give me my money back not your useless store credit! Massive undelivered promise. The game feels like it was made for a console. Funnily enough the console version is garbage and got pulled down from ps store. I had very few crashes, but a number of ridiculous bugs that left me locked in a quest area or trapped in a location I should've left. Quests feel uninteresting most of the time and bring Skyrim radiant quests to mind. Go to X, steal/destroy/kill/find Y and get some lousy credits. Most skills are useless and game relies on constant looting making it a *looter shooter* Some people might like the story, I hate it. It's uninspiring, forced into traditional Greek tragedy (no matter what you do you will suffer). Some people defend it, for me it's a deal-breaker. Weapons come in very few types and just hundreds of uninspired +X dmg versions. Most areas are non accessible with real fake doors. Long story short - if you like shooting, wait till it's about 15 euro because this is all this disappointment is worth.

Refuses to install due to incompatible version. The installer doesn't provide option to force install, but from the tiny difference in versions I suspect it's just an exact version check that complains that version 1.1.1.111 is not the same as 1.1.1.112

This is simply unacceptable. You just keep encountering bugs that have been known for years and still haven't been fixed. By principle, this gets one star despite potentially great story and fresh combination. If this was still an independent studio, but now they are part of THQ nordic, so no sympathy or tolerance from me. - you want to practice fighting? Too bad, the trainer falls through the ground leaving you unable to get out of the arena. - doing archery quest - here, let one of the competitors shoot you in the back, fail the quest and make it impossible to talk to people as a bonus. - Sunshine and storm - say no more, we got you covered - Wanted to talk to that important NPC - why would you want to do it? Just steal from him or send your dog to attack. - Since the game is so bugged what can we do to make it better? I know! Let's limit the save game possibility!

A really nice game with many new features in comparison to the prequel. Graphics are pretty for the games age, new races, few new classes and an amazing (by my book) campaign that brought back some memories from old cRPG games where you could really roam the map. Official campaign is bland and uninspiring: bandits/monsters/outsiders/undead. Especially late game, the bad design of the campaign renders some characters mostly useless. On the other hand the other campaign - mask of the betrayer is a truly great experience. Finally, the Storm of Zehir is in fact, the best campaign I've played in quite a while - and I honestly wish it would last much longer with many more locations! The only bad thing is stability. The game seems to develop irrecoverable map problems as you play the official campaign making it impossible to play if it happens.
