The game series is certainly one of the better adventure series around. I have seen better of course and sometimes I have to ask why the animations in old ... err ... classic adventure series are more detailed than in a new one. The riddle design is fair most of the time. What disappoints me most however, is that Daedalic and GoG could not find a way for a constant release format. Part 1+2 in english + german ... check Part 3 in english only ... why? Why is the original language not included if it was in the other 2 parts?
I asked quite a few people. All share the opinion that it's a great game but no one ever remembers the storyline. And why should they? It's something about Kung-Fu and that's really all that matters. Dead master, hero on a rescue mission. The gameplay is gread however. It's not my favorite of all Bioware games but it was fun to play, also the scenery is excellent.
Great game. After a long wait we even got the update on GOG that adds higher resolution backgrounds and - more importantly - more stability. The old anniversary edition could create problems on modern graphic cards. Now it runs flawlessly.
For a while I actually enjoyed playing the game, after that I played to finish it. It's a casual game, not a bad one even. But after playing the other LSL games, it's a disappointment. There is hardly any adventure left in the game, the dialogs and jokes are flat.
Everyone thought adventures were dead, but then a few small companies tried to revive id, Pendulo Studios released this pear. The storytelling of Runaway is great, the intro already caught me. There are some frustrating puzzles of course, like you find them in every adventure, slightly illogical (when you are in the desert, check the bus door :s). Also Brian sometimes won't take all that is in a bag - if you only click it one time. Sometimes you have to click the bag several times to get all. But the game still is one of the best adventures released around that time, unlike the infamous successorDream of the Turtle, which is so very boring.
About the game there is not much to say really: It's a fun adventure, the puzzles are good (sometimes there is not enough guidance), good voice acting, the characters are well designed. The offer: Great. Adding the german language pack makes this a must-buy. More offers like this one please :)
I never was a fan of Diablo (I played D2 for only 3 hours) and the genre as such, but I was curious, I heared a few people talk about the game, so when it was on sale I bought it ... and I don't regret it. I will never reach level 100, hunt for armor over and over, but I really enjoy picking up my hammer and my shovel from time to time and go down to the caverns.
