This is the only game where I actually stayed in the car and listened to the music, that didn't even happen in Vice City. Don't confuse this game with the GTA series, even if this time the devs got a lot more "inspiration" from it than in the previous games. Sure, not everything is great, sometimes the AI is just hillarious (also justice is blind and so is the police), the "cause damage" missions can get a bit repetitive and I still don't know what to do with my 250 spare fuses (after unlocking all surveillance sections). Especially in the beginning I was impressed by the story telling, also that they didn't display every white guy in the game as racist, even the Duvall guy on the radio seemed quite normal, talking about drug problems and such things (that changed later very much). In the end, the whole racicm theme had no big influence on the game, it's a classical revenge story. The gameplay is solid, nothing fancy. Being able to only carry 2 guns was quite limitating however, I nevre used the big equipment or small machine guns because that means I could not bring the silent ones. And I wished we had a garage like in almost all other games. Boats are almost useless except for a few occasions. Driving trucks through the city ... meh. But be honest: In how many other open world games can you be eaten by an aligator? They could certainly have done better, but they did more than ok.

Let's set this straight: the original version runs better with scummvm than this version does natively. The mouse jumps around and you can't disable the smooth graphics. If you do own the original version, do not buy this game. This way you won't feel ripped off. But than you also don't get to download the bonus soundtrack ... your choice For those who didn't buy it: the classic (version is included, so you don't have to play this revamp. The game is still great, there is no question (that's what the 2nd star is for). And once they fix the mouse bug, you will also be able to play the new version. If you own the old version, just don't buy it.

So if you don't already own this game, you will have to stick with this version. The game is still great, there is no question (that's what the 2nd star is for). And once they fix the mouse bug, you will also be able to play it properly. Just don't buy this, if you own the old version ... really. Don't do it.

I played this a few years ago, when it was designed to use with the Leap Motion controller. It's definitly not a game vor everyone, but getting to the solution for every frame is interesting, sometimes requires a lot of experimenting and pays off in the end.

I would gladly have bought the game again on GoG, but the missing soundtrack is a no-go. I'll keep using the CD-version of this awesome classic. If someone hasn't played this game yet, I can recommed it without any question. It's still a great game. But if you have played it in the past, you will miss the old atmosphere.
