I liked the resource management, it was challenging in a way that was congruent with the King's stress levels. I like that this structure allows you to make meaningful choices that affect the story, while keeping the plot pretty linear and tightly kept. There's no random butterfly effect branching that might come back to bite you... if you spend your money wrong, it's game over. that's the mechanic. no fancy flavor text in a unique bad end screen to justify the bad end. you just gotta make a quantifiably better choice.
