i have played this many times and what i want to say is that this game has a much beter balance between sides, than the ww2 version, where the axis generally lose and that you 'don't feel like you're rushing from point a to b, blindly followin history. civil war seems to possess an element of freedom,whichever side you play.
clunky and old... there are better versions of this game
This has been my favorite game for many years. if you like chess and wargames this will suit you
hunt wooly mammoths, guide your humans through their early years. this game is a must. loading time used to be a drawback, but that has been rectified. There is an editor, but a few more maps would keep it fresh, also no way to prioritse repairs. And, why not let humans battle dinosuars? not histoical, but could be fun. this is a great game, very relaxing
