I'm almost done unlocking the last few moves in the new Survival mode, but I love it all so far. The new Survival mode is blast to play, but it's also really dumb. I'll explain quickly: no matter your skill level, your progression will be primarily based upon the randomness of the powerups you get and the level traps and enemies you face in each stage. That said, adding so many offensive and defensive powerups to choose from makes for some hilarious gameplay scenarios, even if it just results in spamming your blitz attack over and over for 30 minutes. You will go from godlike power to death in 1 second at higher levels. Unlocking alternate moves for ALL characters that you can use in the other game modes is an excellent touch, too. I would only change two things: 1. Survival boxing ring stages need to get scaled back a bit - it's really the only part of the new mode that feels legitimately unfair/cheap. 2. Allow random powerups from Survival mode in the Story/Arcade modes - it would add a lot of fun to the other game modes.
