This game is a standard RTS, but with some great additions like a cover system and the ability to use buildings. Yes, the buildings prevent you using your unit's weaponry, but it gives additional cover, so while they are in the building they are not receiving damage - something a previous reviewer may not have noticed. I really enjoyed the storyline, it's a great alt universe to play on. I enjoyed the ability to have the game and cut scenes play in maiden languages with subtitles, for a better immersion. I sometimes cringe when it's just english with a janky accent. Hearing units speaking in Polish, Deutsch or Russian is great - and made my Polish wife laugh from the other room every time she heard something in her language. The controls can be a bit sticky and you really have to keep on top of things, but all in all I feel like it was money well spent on this game - especially being that it was on discount when I bought it.

This was a great progression from the original Rogue Lite Everspace 1. It reminded me a lot of Wing Commander Privateer from the 90's, and that's a good thing. Graphics are fantastic, sound and music are great, and th missions keep you going without too much repetition. I'm glad I backed this project back in the day. It has been fun to watch this project come to fruition.

This is one of those quaint games that reminds me of the old ASCII based rogue games of the 80's & 90's like Angband. Lot's of character styles to choose from (more open up as you play further into the game) and great lore. I found this originally by looking for the original Angband game, but am quite happy with this!

I originally found this game on Xbox Gamepass. It's awesome if you're looking for something to pass the time, or if you don't want to get to involved. Sometimes I'm not in the right frame of mind to be fully involved in an RPG and just want something similar to an old arcade shooter that doesn't require too much thinking, just reflexes. The graphics are great, controls are smooth and the soundtrack harkens to all that cyberpunk snythwave kind of stuff. I keep coming back to it.

This was my favourite AD&D campaign settings. AS a lot of people already mentioned, the 2nd game came out a bit buggy, but otherwise they were probably some of the most involved storylines and had the best side quests of anything to date at the time. I would say it was the spiritual forefather of the Baldurs Gate games.
