Cyberpunk 2077

Incredibly disappointing work from CDPR

The game should not have been released. It clearly lacks any sort of polish, or any sense of what this is supposed to be. - Night City is the most shallow, barren, devoid of any meaning city in video game history. It's pretty to look at, but meaningless since you can't interact with anything. I don't think there is another environment in video gaming that has so much effort put in to be so useless - NPC AI is non existent. enemies are dumb, pedestrians are useless, and police just spawn and shoot - There is no atmosphere in the game, no immersion - Bugs galore. Texture issues, NPCs teleporting, sounds missing, performance issues, cars blowing up randomly or floating thru the sky, NPC merging with each other etc - Driving is annoying, feels like you are skating more that driving a vehicle - itemization and crafting is flawed, and shows no thought put into it, just copy/paste from and there's the story....which is disjointed, cutted and pasted together and held up with spit. If the missions were taken together on its own, they're not bad. They're fully voiced, and fun to play thru. But there is no coherency, it just feels like someone spent 5 minutes making a storyboard with tic tac toe level skills. V lacks meaningful backstory, everything is rushed, no development for the characters or the relationship with Johnny in your head or anyone really. Best you get is a minute montage for your intro and a 10 second or less scripted phone call in the game with random "important" people. It was ridiculous. CDPR made no effort to learn from their previous titles nor other video game titles. But as a whole, man, Cyberpunk 2077 probably needs to get pulled from CDPR if this is the way they treat the franchise. Very, very disappointed with this quality from a developer and published claiming to treat consumers right. This is a C level game at the moment, and even with bugs fixed, best it can do is C+, nowhere near AAA.
