While the first 2 games were hard but doable, the third one feels rushed and also with couple unsolvable puzzles. Yeah how on earth are you supposed to figure out to launch paper plane from rope sellers store towards therapists store at a specific point in the game??? Really dumb puzzles like this make this game unfinishable unless you resort to walkthroughs aka spoilers. Everything else is like the other two games. Dialogues are still the best thing about these series. Now on to Deponia 4!
BG3 has everything modern pozzed game has but it gives you OPTIONS of how you will play it. I would never give it a GOTY award cos it's not as based as I would like it to be, BUT it's still worth a playthrough or two. Good: *Writers were amazing! Much more improved compared to previous Larian titles. *Voice acting for the most part is amazing, but you will notice DEI hire, who is not up to par, easily. *Graphics 10/10. Best optimized game and with 10/10 graphics too! Please play it on OLED screen for maximum effect! *Combat is AMAZING! Best turn based combat in GAMING so far! Note: previous Larian games had too many annoying things that ruined decent TB combat. Bad: *pandering to journos with WOKE nonsense. No sexy female clothing, no sexy armors. Females carry greatswords, warhammers and battleaxes etc. etc. *really pay attention who is voicing some of the characters.... for example, Flaming Fist elf lady is terrible. I had to read through chat history to understood what she was saying! *launcher crashes often, way too often. Maybe it's cos I play using "Vulcan" technology but how is it my fault? Anyway £49 on sale. No regrets. Not gonna refund it like i did with Pillars of Eternity 2.
I've just recently started playing Deponia games. Deponia 1 was great and funny but some puzzles were "reaching". But Deponia 2 has no puzzle issues, everything is "logical". But the best part is how funny the game is! It's the funniest game EVER so far! Some jokes would be banned nowadays so it's really refreshing to see such amazing writing! Also voice acting is sublime! Deponia 2 is my favorite game so far. Cant wait to start Deponia 3 now!
I am pretty sure this is the first time I can give a game 10/10 score! I've spent 3 days or 45 hours to beat it on 1/2/1/2 difficulty. Honestly I love it so much that I didn't want to leave the place! I love the combat, I love puzzles, I love sound, music, voice acting! I love level design, secrets, enemies, weapons, graphics! I love the fact that it was not destroyed with modern politics and that it was not anti white! This game is a rare gem and gets on a shelf with other modern classics like Kingdom Come Deliverance, X3, Deus Ex: HR and the Witcher series.
Alright you scrubs! First thing first. Disregard ALL reviews that give this game less than 9/10. They are scrubs that know NOTHING! Game is 9/10 AT LEAST. Positives: 1. Beautiful 2. Requires HIGH IQ to succeed! 3. EXTREMELY customizable! 4. OPEN WORLD (open to your imagination!) 5. REPEATABLE! You can start and play with different setups, it never gets boring! 6. Cheap! Where are all those £20 DLCs??? Devs don't know how to exploit their fans LMAO! I gifted this AMAZING game to 2 of my best friends cos I want to support the game! 7. Best TACTICAL combat since... EVER??? I was thinking if I saw something like this in the past but I couldn't come to anything close to it. I guess Divinity OS2 is similar or Heroes of MM3 or maybe XCOM or Xenonauts?? But WARTALES is even better! Practically no RNG in a battle! This is so rare in gaming!!! 8. Amazing sound effects. From footsteps to hits etc. Everything feels great! Music variety could be better tho... After 100 hours I kinda want to turn to a podcast or something. NEGATIVES 1. FEMALES=MALES. Oh wow, EQUITY in gaming, SHOCKING!!! Really crazy to see all these female blacksmiths lmao! Also no sexy female characters. Come on, this game was made for male audience! Please deliver devs!!! 2. That is it! No more wokeness this this game, only what I said in point 1. Really RECOMMEND this game to anyone with 100+ IQ!
This is the type of game that will put this studio on the map! 10/10! Anyway after MandaloreGaming review I was doubtful... I did not like "wall hacks" till later I found out that they are optional (stupid dog). Comparing it to Doom Eternal did not help either cos I did not like that game. But luckily after watching other guy LP the game on OldSchool difficulty I was sold! Good stuff: *40k setting with amazing atmosphere aka sounds/music/graphics/maps/enemies. *Fastest shooter I have seen in years! Reminds me of Painkiller or Quake 2! *Best movement I have seen in a 1st person game! GL trying to master this with gamepads lmao! *RPG elements - hub, character/gear development, chatter etc. Bad stuff: *No quicksaves, only checkpoints... *Some sounds could be better
Honestly no idea why everyone is whining about DRM. Just finished the game, no issues whatsoever! Anyway I was worried a bit cos game has no quicksave feature and that is a big no no in a stealth game. But after a bit of exploring in the first level I noticed that checkpoints were placed perfectly across all map. And the trend continued in other maps also. This is the only game where I did not mind checkpoint system. Thank you devs for being mindful about this!!! Actually I loved everything about this game. Graphics, sound, music, voice acting, level design, multiple objectives (challenges also!!!), multiple ways to play maps, AI, difficulty curve etc. Everything was top class! Among negative things... GOG Galaxy overlay did not work. Dunno why... Had couple bugs, but compared to previous Ghost Warrior games, Contracts was way more polished. Final score 10/10. I want more games like this!
Oh dear... I would not recommend this to my enemy! Abysmal consolish controls, poorly optimised engine with subpar graphics, terrible camera which you can NOT control, INVISIBLE WALLS everywhere, terrible UI, inventory management etc. And come to think of it, this game was more expensive than previous 3 combined! Any positives? I guess voice acting was good of what I've seen at the begining and thats about it. DO NOT BUY THIS! EVEN when it's on SALE!
