I first played the game with mouse/keys but didn't really find it fun due to how cumbersome it was. Years later tried again, this time with Joystick to control the sword swing, and what a difference! Played through the whole single player and can say it was one of my favorite gaming experiences. The later levels are really cool. That joystick got worn out. If the in-game customization is not enough you can use an app like JoyToKey to map things the way you like.
