Perfect balanced gameplay, clear graphics, love the design esthetics. A great great title, for less than a cup of coffee? Hello? Buy this one now, you will love it, one of my all time favorites, and I have played every 4X out there.
I've played every 4X game out there, this is one of the best. Conquest of the New World and Imperialism 1 & 2 deserve more recognition. All are great achievements....
Better than Civ. My vote for the best 4X strategy of all time. Great balanced nail-biting gameplay. Like chess, all units/decisions meaningful. I've happily lost many hours on this one. If you think the Total War games have too many units/too many meaningless stats/too much "this game is playing me", try this gem out. At $2.99?????? C'mon, its worth 10 times that....
I think video games are dirt cheap entertainment; divide cost by typical hours played, and compare to other entertainment. GOG titles are cheap, very fairly priced. They take old games and make 'em run flawlessly on new operating systems.....
