Total immersion in a game is an elusive goal. Many current and older games try to give the player an experience of being a part of the game world created, making them forget that they are sitting at home in a computer chair or couch in front of the TV. If I could literally put myself into a TIE Fighter cockpit to play this game, I don't believe I would feel any more immersed into the world of Star Wars space combat. This is an excruciatingly hard, complex, deep, enjoyable and satisfying game.
