Well i wont go into details of the gameplay since the game is a good retro RTS, but the most annoying feature was that i could not save the game. Kinda sucks since you cant play the whole campaign in one go. Thankfully i found a ''cheat'' that helps with this problem. You edit a file and now it shows a ''cheat'' button at the bottom left of the screen, which you press and then select any mission on the mission select dial. This made the game playable. Posting the instructions at the below. Note: This procedure involves editing a game file; create a backup copy of the file before proceeding. Using a text editor, edit the "shellcfg.h" file locacted in the "dark\shell\" directory. Change the "#define BTN_MISSION_COEFFICIENT 150" line to "#define BTN_MISSION_COEFFICIENT 157". The new "Cheat" icon in the lower left corner of the screen will allow any mission to be selected on the dial.
