Hollow Knight: Silksong

GITGUD!

A few moments in, and I'm already speechless. The level of polishes and details is astounding, the little flourishes in the animations are stunning, The backgrounds and levels are drop dead gorgeous Hornet controls like a charm, fast and agile. As expected from Team Cherry, SIlksong plays like a dream, even though her pogo will take some time to get used to, especially for long time HK players. The level design so far is terrific, Silksong fully embraces its Dark Souls influences with its shortcuts, areas loop around themselves beautifully, and for the moment, I'm managing not to get totally lost. (and yes, the notorious map system returns, and as much as I love Cornifer, the new map NPC is rad af. And of course, the soundtrack is... muah *chef's kiss* It has a more distinct, maybe less melancholic vibe than Hollow Knight, but Christopher Larkin once again delivers absolute aural bliss. The intro screen music is on par with the HK them, imho. That such a finely crafted game is sold at such a low price puts to shame big studios and publishers and their grotesque greed with games prices. in short : go play the bloody game, as for me, the (excruciatingly long) wait was worth it. Yeah, I've only played for a bit more than an hour, but I have absolutely no doubt the rest of the game will be fantastic. Team Cherry are now bound to become legends among developpers, a place they rightfully deserve. Thank you so much, Ari, William, Christophers and all the people involved in this chef d'oeuvre.
