Darkstone is an amazing game, especially for its time. It was, however, not without faults. The difficulty could ramp somewhat unexpectedly. In the original release, the EXP meter would break (fixed in this version, apparently). Doesn't always work well on modern systems (see system requirement notes). If you can get it to work properly, this is one of the BEST dungeon crawlers I've ever played, though. Great methods of learning and leveling skills, difficult enemies, interesting and unique puzzles..... everything you could want in a game of this genre. The soundtrack is amazing, but about average for it's genre. Some of the sounds sounded really similar to the original Diablo soundtrack (in the best possible way). Definitely worth the price.
