Combat Chess

Not for Chess Lovers

If you, as I am, love the game of chess, things such as animated pieces likely don't interest you. A game like this is more of diversion - just like buying outfit DLC for Super Street Fighter IV!! The way to get children interested in chess is by playing it front of them. Younger children are attracted to things they see their parents and/or siblings do. I can't recommend this game when a much better option is available at GOG, Chessmaster 9000. Furthermore, there is so much free computer chess-playing software that offers more than repetitive animations and pretty graphics. GOG once still for Good Old Games, we all know now that it is just GOG.com. Not all old games are good and worthy of resurrection. Combat Chess should have remained on the cutting room floor.

Police Quest Collection

Freeze

I knew this series would eventually make its way to GoG. Now, that it is finally here, my only recommendation is to buy it for those who don't already own or have owned it in the past but no longer do. These games are about being a police officer, following department procedures and, of course, completing the adventure, whether it is hunting down a serial killer in Open Season or Death's Angel in the orignal. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to try a simulation of law enforcement without academy training.
