Symphony

My favorite "laser show"

This game reminds me of a laser show: graphical effects together with music, very fast action and a simple story. This is what I call a nice game to relax, no long manual or instructions to read, good music (after all, you yourself choose it) and a nice and stylish graphical glass effect, which I personally find simply amazing. It is a challenge to get reasonable numbers of points (if any) in higher levels, but lives are unlimited, which is good for game fluency. Anyone, who enjoyed demon attack or space invaders back in the 80s should have a look at this far more beautiful and dynamic version.

To The Moon

A very good story

This game is moreover a visual novel than anything else. It's a sweet and sad story about fulfilling a dying man's wish and finding out about happy and tragic moments in his life. There are quite a few very moving sequences and there is even some part of "suspense" at a certain stage of the game (I am not going to give away more than that). The atmosphere is conveyed the best possible way with the help of the soundtrack, considering that the graphics are rather simple. And this is, to my point of view, the main downside. Definitely, this is not a game for children, but the interface often looks overly simple and remind of an adventure game of the late 80's. My suggestion to the authors: Keep up the good stories and include better graphics/artwork! As far as I know, there is a new version coming up and if the graphics get better, for me it will be easily a "five star". Be warned, though. This game is something for sensitive people. Others might easily find it boring as there is not much of a challenge to game play.
