Now imagine that your project takes 9 years to make with lots of people involved and in all that time no one has ever thought about proper balance testing. And in the main campaign you make missions that are unfinishable without a god mode on a difficulty setting called "normal". Also, there are enemies in the open world that one shot you across the map and you won't be able to react (still normal, END 10, arm ~40). Difficulty is all over the place. You may easily kill the opponent, or it's gonna be the other way around. Or you may fast travel into an instakill enemy (such as freaking walking naval mine) and explode back to the loading screen in exact second you loaded in. And don't get me started on character playstyles — they are nonexistent. You can't be whatever you imagine yourself to be. Only one build on which game was designed around, but even then it's with a big caveat. Bugs, glitches and performance issues I can forgive, but this stuff makes me think some people should go back to basics before they start to design and develop anything.
