An improvement from Hollow Knight, for evade spoilers i'm going to say you have options to adapt for fight. Now the bigges improvement is the exploration that need a perfect finger control i'm enjoying more the characters, hornet and the challenges to reach certain points even if it's just for nothing but you get that feeling to do something perfect. My only way to not recommend this game is if it's your first game for this genre, a big number of people who played hollow knight is liking more silksong but i would recommed fisrt HK, Ori or even the morden castlevania (2D ones) for adapt to how works metroidvania genre or it's your type of game.
