Impressive point and click adventure followup to the first game. Has all the usual qualities of a p'n'c - interesting story, smart puzzles, various locations, clickable stuff with commentary from the character :) But it goes beyond that with two very interesting full-blown puzzles that the nerd/detective in me really enjoyed. It also brings back cut-scenes - something that LucasArts games had back in the day, but modern indie pixelart p'n'c usually don't do. And last but not least - the art is impressive - parallax, moving trees and grass, reflections - this game is a delight to look at.

Absolutely loved it. Different from the first one, definitely. The first one played more like a strategy game, with control over the individual units. This one plays more like a board game on steroids, focusing on large scale and long term development. Still very enjoyable. Played on the lowest difficulty and I must say it is a challenging game - just when you thought you had it all under control, you finish a resource, population grows, the temperature decreases, or a faction becomes restless. Just enough to keep you on the edge of your seat. Performance wise, it's pretty heavy and having essentially no levels - just a huge single playthrough - didn't help. But nothing game breaking, just longer save times the further along in the game I was.

The visuals and atmosphere will pull you in, that's for sure! That is if you get past the first reconstruction. I kept wanting to explore on my own, but the game is *very* on rails, and wants you to do things in a certain order. The in-story reason is that you don't have enough data, and you are able to reconstruct more as you put the pieces together. But the execution falls behind.. I guess it all came to pieces when I could not even use the flashlight, because the part of the story where I had to use it was over, and the devs just decided to disable it. Think of the braindances from Cyberpunk, but instead of complete freedom with the time and tools, you are restricted to use a specific tool only at a specific time, and the timepieces are unlocked sequentially. You get used to it, but it's been done better and I was disappointed after the first reconstruction. Still I kept going because of the art style, the atmosphere, the intrigue. The ending is underwhelming I am guessing the game was rushed to release. It's a shame really since the parts that are good, are really good.

The most ambitious stasis title from the brothers yet. More of the dark and horror setting, more of the full-screen puzzles, more dialogue and story, quite a few more animated sequences. Everything is striking considering it a team of two people created this.

Visually and musicaly it is striking, Aaaand.. thats it. There are no actual puzzles. The game play elements are: - pick up piece of paper and read - pick up object and rotate to find interactive spot - click to watch interactive (or not) dialogue cutsceene. The closest thing to this I played was Detroit: Become Human with amazing gameplay like click to wash dishes. Might be comfortable to play it and space out on a sofa, idk..
