Tainted Grail: Conquest

Useless software dissapointing

Stuck on loading screen. I have about a thousand games spread across different storefronts. Luckily this doesn't happen as often as it used to but there are a few useless developers like this one out there. Abysmal over a year after releasing developers can't write software properly and patch. I see many others have same problem and there are long work arounds. But who can be bothered with trying to fix useless. Deleted moved onto next game in long line of games need to work through. So saved me wasting my time on rubbish like this.

Baldur's Gate 3

Baldurs Gate 3 ish

Theres two ways to look at this game. 1) A Great new Divinity Original Sin... Boom Boom Barrells everywhere! or 2) A version of Baldurs gate which isn't Baldurs Gate complete with Dark Elf settlement right outside the city I loved both Divinity Original Sin and BG 1 and 2 but I couldn't bring myself to buy BG3 becuase its not BG3 its DIV3 using a expensive license to print money, lore, systems all done for you just slap it on top of the old game you made before. I mean partsof it are identical, Minimum effort maximum money and it irked me until solution! 3) Rename its icon as Divinity Original Sin 3 and stick it in the 'Squad Turn Based' game folder witht he other two, wasteland 2 and 3, XCOM 1,2, and 3 Battle Brothers etc not in the RPG with BG, Icewind Dale, Neverwinter Nights, Dragon age etc.. Becuase that's what it is a turn based squad game, not crpg, and certainly not BG. And as long as I call it that I'm not dissapointed anymore and can enjoy it.

The Bard's Tale IV: Director's Cut - Deluxe Edition

When is a directors cut really a 'cut'?

Where do you start, it was puzzle simulator extreme version when it was first released with its poor design choices (no inventory sorting, no manual save) matching its level to crash randomly. These problems have been largely ironed out. The problem is they are selling you an expensive 'enhanced' version, which in reality means it can run on a console now, because of a massive graphics downgrade. Solves those pesky crashes, sells on the console, but makes it look like something from 10 years ago. This game is one of my most dissapointing purchases

Risen 3: Titan Lords

Risen Three Titan Lords Broken Edition

Despite reading a few bad reviews I'm a huge Gothic fan and tried this. And I was pleasantly surprised and found myself enjoying exploring dungeons and jungles etc upgrading my character. BUT.......... It has a GAME BREAKING BUG WHICH IS UNSOLVABLE and believe me I have tried. I have been playing pc games since the 90's and am pretty good at unscrambling program messes by the developers.. After you defeat captain Morgan in the hand to hand fight on his ship the game leaves you standing in mid air. The cut scene won't load...try skipping the cut scene, yes tried that 100 times doesn't work...reload from a previous save a long time ago...doesn't work. Reinstall tried that, fiddle with this fiddle with that, change this run this all failed to cope with developer incompetance. Most reviews are written long before they get to this point a long way into the story so haven't encountered it. But if you want to complete the game you can't. Some people appear to be lucky, don't know why my system won't cope, it has 500 working games on steam, 150 on GOG and numerous others on Uplay, Origin etc so I don't buy that either. My question is why would GOG sell this game? It's a con, simply doesnt work past this point. Fix it or stop stealing customers money. Well what else is it?

Expeditions: Viking

So dissapointing timer beware!

I won't talk about what has allready been extensively discussed with this games flaws but how awesome it could be EXCEPT to mention the dreaded timer. The timer ... Bane of all humanity and rpg games. This timer punishes you for exploration and well taking your time. Go to the wrong area the timer counts down, every action eats away at this thin reserve. If thats the edge you want with your rpg about exploration great???? If you enjoy rpg's as they should be, at your pace and no artificial timer weirdness stay away.
