I got this several months ago and sort of forgot about it. I then revisited and have not been able to stop playing. If you like old school fantasy RPGs but want moments of grand bloody battles, then this is perfect. The most valid criticism I have seen is that neither the RPG nor the RTS bits of the game could stand on their own. I am not sure if I agree with that, especially on the RPG side because the story is fantastic. But the broader point is they don't have to stand on their own. The sum is greater than its parts.
It looks great and runs beautifully. Actually now that it's been 9 years or whatever, I am surprised to say it has aged very well. It actually doesn't look much worse than fallout 4 but this game is better.
