Sam & Max Hit the Road

A classic

One of the best point-and-click games ever. Travel the USA looking for a missing bigfoot, and meet loads of wacky characters. Great jokes and cartoon animations, lots of in-jokes to other franchises. There's not a big map or loads of objects, so should take a few hours to complete.

Delores: A Thimbleweed Park Mini-Adventure

Fun short free game

This game is a sequel to Thimbleweed Park, although I heard about this first. The game covers several days, in each, Delores get a set of five photo assignments from her editor. You have to explore a reduced version of the TP map to find suitable things to photograph. when you've finished all five, the game exits, then gives you new tasks when you reload. The town also resets, so you have to do some actions again the next day. You can't save the game if you exit in the middle of a day, I had to once to look something up.

Ken Follett’s The Pillars of the Earth

Good adaptation of the story

I've read Ken Follett's historical novel (which is nearly 1,000 pages), and this game allows you to re-live the plot, and make your own decisions. you don't need to have read the book to play. It's similar style to point and click adventures, there are less object puzzles than usual, more dialogue puzzles. You can change the events of the story based on your decisions, so there's replay value. I've only played once, and not managed 50% achievements.
