I remember having friends over and we hooked up to a 4 port hub to play this. Good graphics, great game play.
This game has take hour of my life, and I'm glad it did. Playing as a sorcerer, I would smoke every other sorcerer, with my army and magic.
To this day I still play Moo2 every now and then. I can blame this game for my failing UNI grades. I haven't found a game that came close to the level of customization and strategy this game provides. Ship customization, diplomacy, spy, tech tree, race customization.
I never had a PC until WC3, I'd pop into my cousin's play every second I could get to play WC1 + 2. Once I had my own PC, I spent day and night playing and I was totally engross in the story. If anything, get it for the story, the choices you make and getting the girl. I'd always tried to ditch my wing man cause I wanted all the kills to myself. Great story, good game. Imagine my jealousy when my cousin showed up with WC4 when it was out.
