I don't care that this is not a review, the game deserves it. You need internet to use almost every part of the game, including skirmishes with bots. I'm fine with requiring it for online multiplayer, that's a given. The only option you have if offline, is the campaign in any of the games. GOG's DRM-FREE policy is incredibly flexible with this one.
Try play without internet, the game calls for Galaxy the moment you press play at the beginning and crashes out with a lengthy Galaxy related error. Could be a perfect game for the kids and I to play once in a while, otherwise.
