The game was surprisingly fun. Combat was fluid albeit a bit clunky until you get used to it (like all games of its era). It was on the short side, and quite easy but fun. The most challenging part was some bizzare design choices. 1: Whoever thought having no I-frames on your dodge while against hitscan ranged enemies needs to be fired. I died more times in a that tiny section than the entire rest of the game because i would get spammed with bullets and had no block/iframes to do anything about that. Added bonus some floor AOE traps that would blow up and it was enraging. 2: The fire particle effects while pretty af for its time made you literally not being able to see ANYTHING that was happening infront of you. 3: There was a whole stage/area that could be removed from the game and wouldnt matter in the slightest. It was put there to pad the game time and it shows... Thats all the negatives I have to say about it. Otherwise a fun hack n' slash, flashy and pretty effects, a surprisingly good story that had me wondering whose side am I really on and surprisingly fun boss fights. If you like high apm beatem ups from that era grab it on sale and you will not be disappointed
