Been playing the Series since 2001 like some other reveiwers and still love it. The game has a steep learning curve but you can you can do things in the game to make it easier. IL2 has a great online community to help with all aspects of the game too. The thing about this and other good WW2 flight sims is that you may not be able to get to fly all the planes you would want to in a particular game. That's just the current state of this Genre. so research before you buy, All the IL2 Series have incredible graphics, realistic and historically accurate flight models and aircraft, scenery plus you can get add-ons for skins, missions and campaigns, modding among other things from the online community. When I started playing the game , I was pleasantly supprised. Superb 3D Graphics. Fairly good tutorials and manual. Controls are fairly straightforward and good selection of Ships and Aircraft plus the Battle Editor. Liked the game so much, got Pacific Fleet for Android and got an Android Emulator and am now playing it on my PC. The Game has its flaws;so do most PC Games. For me the Pros of this game far outweigh the cons. Can't weight to see what Kilerfish Games does next.(They released War on the Sea in 2021 and it's good. Check it out on Steam.)
As another reviewer wrote, the game is not a full fledged Flight Sim. The Graphics are great, the controls are not that hard to master. For anyone new to Flight Sims, this game would be a good start. If it weren't for the fact that I've played flight sims like CFS2 , CFS3 and the IL2 Series, I would have given it 5 stars. The game is in between an arcade game and true flight sim.
The 3D world in the game is just so-so. The game tries to do too much and not just stick to Naval Combat. The tutorials are a joke and are of no help. The game has alot of problems too many to mention. Read the other two reviews and see.
