This is a blast from the past. A game using the version of DnD that many consider to be a peak, made by Obsidian, known for being awesome at RPG-s. Graphically I think the game holds up just fine, gameplay itself is good but my biggest gripe is the game engine. They used the same engine as in NWN1 but that game was meant to be played as a single character. For this game they hacked on a party system and it just doesn't work as well as in games like BG1,2 or Pathfinder series. At every turn you'll be battlling your party AI. They will cast powerful AoE spells at groups of harmless enemies while you are in the middle of them. They will get stuck on terrain, they will run into traps, they will lag behind, they will run off. This is the single biggest flaw the game has. The game is still worth it though, because mask of the betrayer expansion is one of the best written stories in video game history ever.
