Story is twistedly good, which is why we're playing. But adventure game puzzles from the 90s are so bloody irritating. (Very much appreciating the Universal Hint System website)
This game has quite possibly the most fun thing I've ever done in a videogame (viz. most excellent encounter with devil at the crossroads). But that was a pretty early peak and the rest got a bit same-y as we trot along our linear adventure game path. Some funny intros and attacks in combat too from all the costumes. But then it's the grind of jrpg combat. (As an aside it was interesting to notice the similarities in various aspects between this and Psychonauts 2.) Still, fun enough that I'll also give Costume Quest 1 a go.
