I doubt this game will make you fall in love with PS1 survival horror, if you don’t like it already, but it is a lot of fun. I managed to finish it without a guide (with a little exception when the game wants you to decode a morse code), which is something I can’t say about Resident Evil. Just make sure you write the codes down, and you will be fine. There is a separate inventory for quest items and you can have them as much as you need. Normal inventory is also bigger than in Resident Evil. Saves are infinite, and there is also 30 continues in the original game. All of this means there is less overall running around, cause you can’t take an item you need, or you don’t want to waste a save. The map is bad and gives very little information, but the playable area is smaller than Resident Evil and well designed. There is also a cut-off point, after which there is no reason to go back to the first part of the facility. Game runs perfectly, had zero technical issues with it.
