It crashes on launch. Troubleshooting seems like a lot more trouble than its worth.
Bad Economy -Everything is expensive. You dont make anything from the bar you renovate. By the time you get rich you'll be done with most of the game nd theres not much else to spend on. Bugs -clipped vehicle spawns -flashin textures -bugged cutscenes -had to restart the game several times because the NPC refused to talk to Lincoln before a confrontation mission. -Map wont display key info at times -Sometimes the car wont move til you get out -Car despawns while drivin it! -invisible blocks on the side of road(s) -solid bushes and other sturdy anomalies that cant be shot or driven through -corrupted custom weed strains Limited Verticality/movement -Linc cant climb a lot of walls despite being a vet in his prime. He also cant sprint a decent distance and strafes at a snails pace. -He can shoot from the hip while running pretty good, unlike Tommy n Vito. No Storage -You cant store guns -cant store cars. Ya stuck with only some cars -the safe is pointless. Bad camera angle just like the others. Driving -Driving is cool until you run into a bug or something solid you thought you can drive through. -The front end of the car is prone to shoot up like a rocket when you hit or drive over a lot of things including other cars. Stealth/AI -The AI is a hivemind, yet still braindead. Collectibles/Egg hunt -Im sick of games with junk scattered through the map. I spent too much time lookin for fuses, Magazines, and crackin junction boxes. 1 of the junction boxes in the bayou only shows 2 fuses n took 3 to crack it. -The crow bar minigame gets old fast. Linc uses the crowbar on every locked door when he could kick'em open. -Commie posters still show up even after you 100% them and John Donovan doesnt give you anything after! Explosions The explosions from nades, molos, and especially cars are hilariously underwhelming and sound bigger than they really are. Theres no fast travel. I doubt ill ever play this again and I'm glad I never bought it. Why do ppl defend this?
Bad mission design, brain dead npc traffic and cars that handle like cinder blocks on asphalt. TERRIBLE gunplay. I dont know what it is with Hangar 13 and having the camera angle all the way up your a**. The cameras zoomed in and its STILL a b**** to hit long range shots, its a b**** to hit close targets cuz of the damn zoom. Some guns dont work half the time (shotgun) or just suck (Magnum). I cant tell if theres invincibilty frames, bad hit detection or if Im just missing follow up shots. I feel like a lot of my ammo doesnt hit or do damage. Shootouts suck. Fools either charge at you or stay in cover making a lot of shootouts a stalemate. Everyone shootin at you seems to have more ammo and that crack shot bot accuracy. They can also blind fire in cover (but you cant) and shoot you through walls whether it be thier cover or yours. Nades n molos also do dmg through walls/cover. ALL the dlc gamemodes are just poorly designed side missions with no cutscenes. I see why theyre just givin these games away. I bet Old Country'll be another L.
The combat sucks, hand to hand especially. All of Angelos counter attacks are just shoves. Most of the guns have the dmg fall-off of a damn Windex bottle filled with spit and the accuracy of a strong steam of piss! You would think the Tommy gun was chambered in .22 long rifle cause it damn sure doesnt pack the punch of the .45ACP . The animations need polishing and I also ran into some bugs, like glitching cars and broken mission objectives. It looks and feels like a lazier Mafia 3. The storys ok if you let the plot holes slide. I'd rather watch someone play the game than buy it. I'd probably rate 2 stars if I payed for it and didnt have a soft spot for gangster games. I usually take time with beating a game if I like it. I tried to beat this as fast as I could.
