It was on my to-be-played list for a long time, and I finally got around to play it. I love point and click games, puzzle games, so it feels like a perfect match. Despite this, it has certain flaws surely due to its age. The game is not perfect but it is perfectly enjoyable. The cursor doesn't make it clear if something is clickable so you have to just click around and see what you can interact with. Sometimes navigating (especially in the Channelwood Age) can be tricky and confusing. And some puzzles don't make too much sense, like clicking to the bearing of the lighthouse in the Stoneship Age. You can argue your way to make it have sense, but it's very far fetched. Despite this, the fact that there are no UI and tips and hints (in this version at least) aids to the feeling of immersion, which was the clear goal of the authors.

The graphics and sound are honestly amazing. The performance is good even on older midrange hardware. The gameplay is quite limited, with immersive environmental puzzles which aren't bad and some basic shooting that doesn't feel very necessary. The atmosphere is what makes the game, it drips of it! Very immersive with no maps, markers, explanations... even the story is very much up to interpretation. Would I pay full price for it? Probably not, but if on sale I would totalyy recommend it.
