Have no idea what is the reason behind bad reviews, but as of now this game is great. Remniscent of late 90s early 2000s shooters like Half-Life 1/2 and SiN. Pros: Level design. A bit more complex than most modern shooters where you just go from point A to point B. So that's a plus. Combat and weapon variety is good and satisfying. Some nice environments. Campaing length. Slightly longer than average FPS, but not that long either. Story. Nothing special, but it got me interested enough. Some jokes as well here and there. Cons: Enemy AI is a little on the dumb side. Level design can be a little too complex at few times. All in all this is a very good FPS. It's been a while since I enjoyed a game so much!
I liked it. Very good atmosphere, good story. Worldbuilding really gives the feeling of bigger world in the background. Dark humor of the backstory was a good touch. Sometimes animations can be a bit slow though - some shortcut mechanism to pass between areas would be helpful - quick area passage with double-click for example.
Liked it a lot. Very hard, but good game. Nice gloomy atmosphere, good puzzles and hard platforming.
Very good and atmospheric game. Good, sometimes funny, sometimes thoughtful dialogs and immersive storyline. Game's unique atmosphere catches right from the start and does not let go till the very end. Good music too. Game can be a bit challenging and I had to use walkthrough few times, but that probably is due to my inexperience with adventure games. Highly recommended.
