I really enjoyed the game, despite the relatively short campaign. If you enjoyed Theme Hospital, Dungeon Keeper, Rollercoaster Tycoon or similar games, then I think you will enjoy Constructor and Mob Rule/Street Wars as well. The artwork is wonderful, and I love the small animations. There are small animations for the gadgets as well. Go to a building and click on the gadgets installed. Then click on a gadget and a small animation will play. A shame they hid them away like that, because the gadget animations were very visible in Constructor A good challenge on hard. I finished the game for the first time in 12 years, first on easy and then hard. It took me 28 hours, and I had a lot of fun. So you get a lot of gameplay for a few bucks. Works on a modern system, but center the view in your graphics card's settings to get proper 4:3 aspect ratio. On a 4K display, enabling integer scaling will give you a crisp image. Two tips: - Junior the Saboteur can destroy the plumbing of a building. If it happens to you, then you need to act quickly. Get a few tenants as well as a fixer on the property. The tenants will pick up the poop in the garden, and the fixer will then fix the plumbing. But you have to do it at the same time. If you are too slow, the water will ruin the neighboring properties, and then there is no choice but to destroy all properties and build new ones. At least, I haven't found a fix for this situation. - Beat up bums and drop them off at your business to increase profit. But the bums are not happy, unless you upgrade a business. This is very important to remember. You need to upgrade your business, before the bums will use money. Until then, they just enter the premise, become annoyed and cause stress for the tenant.
Broken right out of the box. The user has to manually setup dg voodoo to get it working, the sensitivity is insane, and there are broken missions. It's simply not acceptable to sell the game in its current state. I wish I could say this is the only GOG release where this is an issue, but it's sadly not the case anymore.
I'll keep it short. The game is still very funny to play, but the developers haven't fixed the very known bug that makes it impossible for Dark Knights, Goblins, flies and Dark Angels to summon on certain levels, which makes it impossible to finish a particular level. The fix is incredible easy, yet they still after all these years haven't updated Dungeon Keeper 2 and included the fix. It's been mentioned in the forum - no answer. You get a great game but still have to fix it yourself.
First of all, reviews should be about the product, not the price itself. When people are scrolling through the list, they see the rating and figure it's a bad port or that the game is aged terribly. As for me, I loved the old Turok game and have played it a lot. The weapons reminded me of the weapons from Doom with their awesome destructive powers. Back in the days this was a gem to play. A bit console like but still contained a lot of fun, and the fog in the game made it scary for me as a kid. If you feel nostalgic, it's still worth a play, otherwise there are greater FPS titles out there.
