Truly amazing game ! This is the essence of action RPG. Innocent beginning and brutal end. One of the greatest stories told in gaming world !!! The story itself is so HUGE and DIVERSE that I was blown away upon ending it ! Everything else is in it's shadow. Graphics are mediocre and sound is OK. Wasteland is beautifully organized and incorporated that itself is a RARE JEWEL. Sound effects are great. Character creation is very good and development is OK. There is no single thing in this game that I can tell is below average. Everything is so well packed that it has to be rewarded with four star minimum. Fallout is the game that has to be played at least once. You HAVE to try it. It's a LEGEND that is still told ...
With an army of fans, I expected much more of this game. The game has a bizarre ( and this means VERY BIZARRE ) story. Some of us may like it. Personally, the story is weird and interesting at the beginning, but it becomes boring as the game progresses. The story has a quantity but not a quality ! There are tons of dialogs and monologs that make you click and click and click ... Character creation may pass the test, but character development is extremely poor. As far as I'm concerned, this is not RPG. Maybe an action adventure. Bizarre story is the key element in the game and it's so different from other games, that I give it a big applause. Also, quantity of quests has to be rewarded. If you're an adventurer soul, you will like this game no matter what. Quests are very interesting and rewarding. I give Planescape a three star. If you like to sniff a lot then what are you waitin' for ? If you're on the RPG side then don't bother. It's worth to try out but don't expect a masterpiece.
This is an interesting game, but definitely overrated ! It's not a bad story and somewhat strange scenario, but it has poor character development and chaotic combat system with terrible pathfinding. So I gave it a three star (3.5 maybe). One thing that is great here are character illustrations and character behaviour (Those two are mind blowing ! ). Not so bad to try out ...
