Thimbleweed Park

Finally another good adventure!

This plays like the old adventures from *way back when* but in wide-screen and without the dead ends and fear of messing up and not being able to restore the (dumb) decisions you made earlier ;) An interesting story, set in 1987, which starts with a dead body. From there on, you play as different characters to ultimately solve this case. There's no boring puzzles, but there are items you need to find to be able to progress. I liked the game play big time and there's enough to explore to make for many hours of investigating. If you like a good adventure and don't mind the "vintage" look & feel, this is the game for you!!

Firewatch

Looking forward to the sequel!

Playing Firewatch was a unique experience. You get drawn into the story by the environment, but even more by the fantastic voice acting. It is easy to identify with the protagonist and experience the story in Henry's shoes. It is more then a "walking simulator" as you do have the freedom to go wherever you want to go, all the time. Tension is building up nicely as the story develops and while the ending might be a disappointment to some, I think it leaves open a lot of options for a sequel. And that's what I am looking forward to right now :)
