Dragon Age™: Origins - Ultimate Edition

One of the Greats

The best of the series. Interesting characters, well voiced. Good story with lots of side quests. Excellent combat system. Great DlC content. Played many playthroughs since 2008 and still love it

Wasteland 2 Director's Cut Digital Deluxe Edition Upgrade + The Bard's Tale

Great after Directors Cut

I bought this game before the directors cut was released and was not impressed. Recently, however I picked it up again after the directors cut had been installed. I found myself enjoying it immensely. The look was better thought not especially good but the gameplay had been improved. This game has a very good skill system as well as enough types of weapons and ammo to provide considerable variety and replayability. There are enough trinkets, upgrades and food items to keep the player opening every door and chest. With about 6 different skills for opening and disarming things the challenge for a completionist like myself is maintained throughout as the party skills are developed. The enemies are not the brightest but they usually provide a challenge for most parties with melee cover chargers as well as distant sharpshooters. In the late game the sharpshooters can one shot most party members so cover and intelligent movement is absolutely neccessary. Quests are many and varied and they can often be solved in various ways with sometimes unexpected results. One complaint I had was that in many quests there didn't seem to be much difference between good or bad and I felt like I was just choosing between one evil or another. This game is well worth buying and I recommend for the old school gamer who likes to manage skills, inventory and develop a large party (7) of characters.
