I loved the atmosphere of this game, the graphics are wonderful and the music sublime. You can wander around, exploring ruins, trying to understand what happened. Some says that the story isn't developped. I would say this it isn't true. In the 80-90's, game were not as developped as they are now, and we used a lot our imagination to make a story with the different elements of the game. This one is better, it gives us plenty of elements to tell the story or to help you make you one, your own story. You are free to start wherever you want, to beat bosses in the order you want, you decide what upgrade you want. This game is a poetry, and it would be perfect if there was not those controls... Hell, this doesn't work (I played with mouse and keyboard as my controller was down). Gameplay looks interesting and nervous, but when you encounter ennemies, your character is suddenly paraplegic 1 second out of 2. I succeeded in the 800 dashes challenge at 2nd try, but i couldn't perform any correct chains of dashes when ennemies are there. Shield never happened for me outside the shop, or maybe once. Some ambushes can randomly turn harder than the bosses. And bosses aren't easy. Controls are not reliable, what you can easily do when you're alone become random when ennemies are there. For an action game, we are very far from the feeling of Dead Cells. The game isn't that hard, it's just random and that's a big problem. It's could be a 5 stars with better controls. Fortunately, you can accomplish your quest and I still recomend you this pearl. Don't be lazy, live your own experience and make your own story
I felt very happy when i learned that I could know more about Syberia. I fell in love with this universe 10 years ago and I played most of Sokal's games and enjoyed them very much. The story, the characters, the music and the graphics of Syberia 3 are awesome. But 10 years later, I didn't expect such an excruciating gameplay in 2017. Kate is slow and hard to move, especially when the point of view changes. I quit the game twice while the ice crusher part. The maniability is a pain in the ..., and some of the voices are poorly acted. What a pity for this game that could be a great one. Anyway, i still advice you to try for experiencing the onirism of Syberia.
Improved gameplay, new map, new story and characters. We start from a different point of view as you are soldier. You are in a different part of the Zone, just after the end of Shadow of Chernobyl. This game makes you feel what it is to be a stalker in the Zone, to trust no one or to have friends. You can make choices that will influence the story. Some places look very similar to actual places, it makes everything more realistic, as if the stalker universe wasn't far from our. An awesome and unique post-apocaliptic experience. I wish for another episode !
Not as immersive as the first one, but still a great story, and an improved gameplay. We will visit familiar places in different states, and new ones to understand what happened just before Shadows of Chernobyl. And still this unique atmosphere with anomalies and mutants.
Usually I'm not a big fan of FPS, but a friend told me this was a good game that reminded him in a way the fallout 1 & 2 atmosphere. And he was right ! With outdated graphics, this game manage to create a unique atmosphere, I enjoyed every minute in the Zone trying to gather pieces of the story, fighting and walking among the anomalies. You can feel the danger every second, people are dying all around you, and you will die a lot too. I've been mad at the game sometimes becasue the gameplay is not perfect, but i recommand you it still for the experience. Clear sky then Call of Pripyait will have a better gameplay with an awesome story too. The background is so intense i had to read the book and watch the movie to go further. I wish there will be a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 one day
