So, this site ist called Good Old Games - that can stand for two things: 1. Old games that were great when they came out or 2. Old games that, despite the aged technology, are still a lot of fun to play today. Sadly, in my opinion, Rainbow Six only falls in the first category. The reason for this is simple: pathfinding. Its horrible. Not a single mission goes by were i don't have to redo the plan multiple times only because of pathfinding issues. Yes, you can circle through your teams and unstuck them manually most of the time, but there are missions were time is of crucial importance. Lets look at something you encounter every mission: a floor with a lot of rooms on both sides. Naturally, you plan that your teams check every room for badies, so they dont get shoot in the back. The game even encourages it with the 'clear' waypoint. Unfortunately, this results in your teams getting stuck in every single room. So, about ten times a mission. So, I know the game is old, and that how pathfinding was back then - non existant. But, at the end of the day, I just like having fun. And its not fun to yell at your monitor*. *except for Super Meat Boy
