I haven't bought modern games in the last couple of years. Mostly bought older "quality" games at discount, which I haven't yet played. Gameplay is better (for me), true some graphics are not last generation tech, but they don't have something a lot of modern games have: hidden costs. You pay for a game that is not complete, requires subscription or have little content, and you need to buy "expansions". Or you can't download and own it, requiring an internet connection and a front end to run. This game is well made, is complete (you only pay once) and it is yours to keep forever (GOG offline install).
