Rayman® Forever

An great game: Forever

Rayman Forever is a great game marred somewhat by a weak release on GoG. Parts of the soundtracking gone missing are the highest offense, but the fact remains that this game is still worth playing even if this is the only version you can play. Rayman has a unique artstyle and level design that's charmingly different than its competitors, but don't let its cute aesthetic fool you. This game has an insane level of difficulty, and I would only recommend it to experienced 2D platforming fans. If you want to hop into the Rayman series for the first time, you may be better served by jumping right into its 3D sequel. Rayman 2: The Great Escape

The Mario of PC

What has taken me so long to get into this series? Rayman 2 is easily one of the most well paced and engaging platformers I've ever played, and calling it the 'Mario of PC' is not hyperbole in the slightest. In fact, Rayman manages to ascend even higher in some regards. Constant variety in gameplay married to a unified aesthetic carries the game from beginning to end. It's absolutely worth a play and easily one of the best 3D platformers available on PC. For my full thoughts, check out the video review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=woWNDUq5jho&t=271s

Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc

A Perfectly Paced Adventure

There was one thought that was completely pervasive throughout my entire time with Rayman 3: "There is always something amazing going on." This game has so much life, so much energy. Take a vertical slice of any two seconds of it and you'll find something fun and hilarious. Funny writing, great voice acting, improved platforming, and a fun combat twist all come together to make an incredible entry in an incredible series. Defender of the Crown

A decent classic

I was stunned to learn that one of my favorite childhood games, 2003's Roobin Hood: Defender of the Crown was based on a game even older. For a game that's 33 years old, it's unreal how beautiful it is. I had no idea games this old were allowed to look THIS good, and gawking at the visuals is probably the primary reason you should play this game. The game itself is simple and inoffensive, but probably won't do much to hold your attention for more than a few hours. It's well worth the asking price, and if you want my full thoughts you can check out the video review here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XwcYQBCK71E
