If you aren't looking for deep tactics but do enjoy big damage numbers and setting up simple synergies to trigger them then I'd definitely recommend the game. A nice, fluffy, stereotypical rpg story about outcasts using the power of friendship to yada-yada-yada but one that's short enough to reasonably finish given limited free time and has good enough writing to genuinely make me chuckle out loud a couple of times. You aren't missing anything by not playing this, but if this general genre of thing is your comfort food then you'll probably enjoy this a lot.
