Journey of a Roach

Fun wacky cute adventure

The game design is really fun because the environments are different and memorable per puzzle area, and the main character being a roach and being able to traverse walls opened up the level design to really neat puzzles :) although the ones that didnt even use that trick were still pretty good, and the cutesy childish vibe was really nice and i can see it being age appropriate for later elementary/younger middle school. Still made me think quite a lot tho. Very nice.

Windbound

Sailing is amazing, rest is tedious

The game is structured by sailing island to island in each area, making progress, hunting for survival meters (food) and hunting animals. The sailing: Amazing, beautiful, free, perfect rhythm of engaging by going with the wind or against it. The water physics for waves and the way your boat rocks is amazing. Everything else: The combat is serviceable, it just doesn't feel necessary? If you die you restart to the beginning of an area, which is really not doing the game any service. The survival aspects are okay, but really everything else is a chore compared to the sailing.

Greak: Memories of Azur

Sweet&Enjoyable 4hr Adventure

I saw online someone say it's a little bit like Hollow Knight but not hard and I have to agree (loosely, yes I know it's not Hollow Knight calibre but its darn good). The story hook is okay, the combat is cool, and the world art and soundtrack are amazingly fantastical and adventerous, and the level designs and puzzles are pretty clever and fun, with only one coming to mind that could be considered tedious tbh. And the way the multiple controllable characters merge with the gameplay to further push the core theme/story, awesome, I love it. There's a very similar feeling to when playing Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons. I do recommend playing it on Accessible Mode: un controlled chaaracters dont take damage, having that off annoyed me. I'd give it a 9/10 tbh but ill round up to boost it. Had a bunch of fun!
