Cyberpunk 2077

like the game, just wish I loved it

The game: false advertising and poor management led to a lackluster product, a game that has enormous potential going unrealized. They had a masterpiece on hands and through series of bad decisions released a game that will never be what we could have had. Integral systems are lacking. Some of them can be fixed, patched, improved on. Some of them will probably never get improved/repaired. The good: somewhat shorter but hell of an amazing story beautiful art and design giant multilevel hand crafted city amazing soundtrack that can give you back chills in the right moment The sorta bad: the combat shooting system, vehicle controls closed off scrapped locations crafting, levelling systems are not done (even though devs should have done this, the mods probably will fix this) character creation, "transmog", appearance change not done (expect mods in the future) the ugly (either long term effects or probably will never get properly fixed): no replayability lifepaths?! traffic, police AI bugs, incomplete design the city is only a fraction of the "living breathing ecosystem" that was promised there are only about 5 side quests worth mentioning, other are just glorified question marks from witcher 3 parts of the story were rushed off, story progression visibly scrapped overall hurt the story Compared to W3 this has only a sad handful of memorable characters It lacks much of the original, interesting content you know and expect from CDPR's past games, most of it is weak, lackluster, or straight up playtime inflation with "clear the enemies at X mark encounters" The game can still be enjoyed but don't expect what was advertised, don't expect even better witcher 3, better off - wait half a year for proper bug fixes. The game seriously deserves a No man's sky level of redemption rework but the company-customer trust is already lost.
