The game runs fine for me on a 780m with 16gigs of ram so if all these other people with better pcs than mine are really having issues, then they're probably going to be easily fixed in a patch or something. It's exactly what I expected it to be and I'm enjoying it immensely, though, I am a pretty laid back gamer who just likes to dick around by myself in games doing whatever I feel like doing and repetitiveness isn't a negative for me. If you want to just screw around in a beautiful universe, it's definitely a must buy.
